On a very difficult day's club fishing today I had two feeder rods out, a Browning rod and reel combo with Guru method feeder, a Daiwa Black Widow rod and reel combo with Guru hybrid feeder. I cycled through a bunch of different baits including my usually successful Ringers Chocolate Orange, Mainline cell etc. nothing. but also nobody else on the lake was catching. I did however catch, on my 3rd rod, a 600gr rainbow trout and a beautiful 460gr rudd on a 10 year old NISA Feeder Products large Chummer, raining maggots slowly down towards the hook bait 1m80 deeper. I regularly use Chummer, Chomper and Bobba to great success. They are an absolutely essential part of my armoury. The two fish secured me the win on the day. Sometimes you need to fish different to be successful.
