Dear Chat GPD, for you, “improving” means efficiently conforming to the smooth, homogenized mass into which I’m supposed to dissolve like an aspirin. An orc of the Legion.

The problem with normal life and this Chat GPD thing is: they are two opposing processes. Chat GPD wants to help us optimize, and us? We really just want to be seen. Optimizing means depersonalizing, shifting toward efficiency and generalization, in order to have a need met. So we become faster, more efficient, more standardized for everyone else, but what defines us and each individual melts away. This makes us more invisible and perhaps also more dissatisfied, if not downright depressed. Chat GPD & co. streamline processes, but they contribute to us increasingly blending into the masses.

Dear Art, for me you are and remain the first choice, because here it is about the opposite—about that part that is different, crooked, twisted, mixed, hard, soft, shrill, textured, degenerate, full of fabric that is too idiosyncratic and eager to try out how life—or rather, the Now—really works without the economic evaluation of past experience.

Everything will always revolve around who you are NOW, what you are experiencing NOW, what in this moment perhaps makes sense for the first time against all statistics.

What Chat GPT will never understand is that meaning is not reproducible. For art, that is the foundation.
