I’ve been meaning to finally put this one up for a while: acquired by a now elder teenager who had his little mind blown at this gig. Not so much by Elvis C., who he was really there to see, but by the infamous tour support. A band from New York City by the name of Su***de. I’m not sure which genius came up with pairing the two bands for a tour, according to my source at the scene, the (small) audience was either in shock and stunned, or hurling bottles at Martin Rev and Alan Vega… Mr Costello delivered a rather short set that night, no encores and no autographs for the teenagers waiting for him outside after the gig. Needless to say: I NEED the Su***de poster for this night, so if you know someone who knows someone, you know what to do, buy or trade, I don’t care.

You can’t be sad when the sun’s shining and it’s only raining hits: tight buds Home Front are back with a new album today, available on both green and black vinyl, top shelf as usual! Also hot off the presses from West Berlin’s finest Dampfnudelfactory Static Shock Musik is the Schimmel über Berlin - Eisenmund LP, another great Liv Billerbeck Band (AUS, Die Letzten Ecken,…), maybe the best one yet. Also just in and out today the new Headcoatees and Headcoats LPs on Damaged Goods Records - timeless music from timeless people. We repressed the LÙLÙ on our label TAKEN BY SURPRISE RECORDS - now with 85% more pink! Also back in stock is the great Maura Weaver - Strange Devotion LP on Feel It Records - been jamming this a lot at the shop lately as you probably noticed if you’ve been around. Also back in stock some overdue Bad Religion classics on color vinyl. Plus as usual a lot more, stop by and pick up some music for the weekend, and then get a 🍹and 🍕 at San Paolo Bar • Café down the street, happy hour is now enforced by law!
