Welcome to the official Page of ML Shields, where you can find different Tabletop Bits produced with Hello my Hobbyfriend and Visitor of this Page!

My name is Mario Ruf, and I am a Hobbyists like you, you and you. Just take minute and stop painting, snorting glue or priming your fingers. ML Shields started as a project from a Tabletop Gamer for Tabletop Gamers. The idea of unique customizable Wargear like Shields/Symbols etc. was in my Head a long time. So I tried a new technique, and Material: Laserengraved/cutted Plexiglas. I was blown away

by the first Tests, posted them in the community and got amazing Feedback. This was the Start of ML Shields! After first orders and Design Wishes I decided to make this my little project in my Freetime. So understand that I can't provide producing quantities/times like big companys! I'm doing everything on my own. I distance myself from recasting or 3D-Printing of something that is safed under copyright. I create all the data files by myself, and the endproduct is 100 % my work. I know a lot of you want special designes refering to copyright Logos/Material. I can’t provide that because I have no licenses for them, or can I afford them. I also distance myself from copying these, my shields have other names and other designs. Similarities are not wished, but in small degree possible. ( A Shield is a Shield )
Testpaintjobs may have similaritys to other licensed designs, but it is just an example of painting, the endproduct is delivered unpainted. I hope you understand that, and I first want to test this in a small circle, to gain experience and develop the products. I don’t want to get drawn to court and everything I wanted to do for this hobby is ruined. So please stop asking for special names or designs, just wait for what is getting published. Dear ML-Shields friends and followers,

after months, it still it is unsure if ML Shields will survive these times. In my area we have reached a complete lockdown, no access to my production place etc. At the moment, I don't know how and how long I will continue this company, that I built and love till today. I am searching for solutions at the moment, and already discuss some options to transfer my knowledge and products to someone else, but it seems like the time has come for me to end in the near future. I am more than thankfull for all the years of support, love, painted shields and trust in me - maybe we will see each other in future battlefields on the table, brothers and sisters. Stay healthy!

Dear ML-Shields friends and followers,

still it is unsure if ML Shields will survive these times. Even if the campus is partly open, the access is limited and the conditions are not nearly the same as in the usual production. At the moment, I don't know how and how long I will continue this company, that I built and love till today. I am searching for solutions at the moment, maybe I am going to have two last months of ordering available and close it afterwards, or transfer it to someone else who is interested in continuing with lasercut goodies. If you have any ideas or feedback to that, just let me know. I am more than thankfull for all the years of support, love, painted shields (just got those lovely Vampire Shields sent) and trust in me - maybe we will see each other in future battlefields on the table, brothers and sisters.

Dear ML Shield Fans and Followers, we currently have no access to our workplace due to the covid-19 case, and I spoke with the authorities of the workplace where we produce, so it seems like we cannot work until August... which makes me really sad.. I hope you all are doing well, these are hard times, and I wish you the best.

Dear ML-Shields friends and followers,

it seems like Covid-19 reached our mighty shield factories... at this current state, we have no acccess to our workplace till 20.4.2020. That means we cannot produce orders or do custom design work, which we really apologize for and hope you understand it.

All orders that are paid already are on the waiting line, and will be produced/sent out as fast as possible. I am in contact with the supervisors of the workplace where we produce, and try to keep you up to date.

Meanwhile, I wish you and your hobby friends, your families and all the others some calm days, please stay at home, take it seriously to prevent harm to older, more susceptible people. And spent some time to paint your miniatures, let's make the best of it!

ML SHIELDS PRESENTS: CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!

It's the 24th, Merry Christmas to all of you!

I hope you enjoyed this year, even if it was a bit calm about us. We hope we can continue with that output, try to improve the process from order to happy customer and still give as much as love as possible into this project since day one.

I'm very thankfull for all the painted shields and bits you send us, feel free to send them to us!

I wish all of you nice holidays, enough time with your family, and we will see each other in the new year!

Hey friends and followers, it is christmas time again! As most of you remember, ML Shields always had a christmas calendar with daily specials. Sadly, like I mentioned in the first post of a long time, I won't have the time and the rest to do it properly this year, and I don't want to simply copy and paste the last one.

So this year, it's about you! You will be Santa's elves, or orks, or marines, what ever you feel like! That means, you can help me with suggesting specials for the three weekends remaining before christmas!

The first special will be at Friday, 6.12 till Sunday, 8.12. Leave a comment what christmas special you would suggest for you, your friends or the whole lasercut addicted community! One of your suggestions will be chosen!
