A New Chapter for the U8 Deluxe!!!

This Touch Guitars® U8 Deluxe features a real stone top which is ultra-thin, keeping the instrument lightweight while adding a unique look and feel. Combined with a mahogany body, a 3-piece korina/purple heart/korina neck, and purple heart fretboard, it delivers clarity, warmth, and stability. Stone tops are now also available for all orders with a slight upcharge.

Together with Till Westphal from nova - innovative pickup systems and Joris Henke, we implemented a new filter preamp system inspired by boutique bass electronics. The slanted full-range pickups are highly transparent, with minimal coloration. Each pickup has its own filter with a push-push +8 dB boost at the selected frequency, and you can seamlessly blend between them. A push-push high boost on the blend k**b adds brilliance above 4 kHz for an almost acoustic-like top end.

Powered by a custom power unit from Hubert at Vaudoo-Audio Cecielec (France), this setup defines the new standard for the active U8 Deluxe.

One of the very first to receive something truly special

Ludovico just got his hands on the Markus Reuter Special Edition guitar in Ocean Turquoise and it couldn’t have found a better home.

These Special Edition guitars carry the spirit of the idea, the craftsmanship, and the vision right from the start and Ludovico is now part of that story.

Last but not least there is another daphne blue finish. We did a lot of these guitars. Soft, pastel, and unmistakably vintage Daphne Blue also came from the world of 50s automotive design, most famously used by General Motors before finding its way onto classic guitars.

Closely tied to early surf culture, its light, ocean-like tone echoed the look and feel of the California coast.

Under different light, it shifts from cool sky tones to a slightly greenish hue subtle, but full of character.

This our second U8 in this iconic color. Capri Orange traces back to the Ford Capri, where vibrant colors matched the spirit of freedom and performance.

Designed to stand out on the road, this punchy orange became a symbol of youthful energy and individuality. When used on instruments, it carries that same confidence loud in the best way, warm, and impossible to ignore. It pairs perfectly with the plumwood fretboard.

First seen on mid-century cars, pelham blue carries that unmistakable vintage cool look somewhere between metallic sky and faded steel. Originally developed for automotive finishes, it was all about subtle shine and modern elegance.

When it made its way onto instruments, it brought that same retro-futuristic vibe with it. Under stage lights, it shifts beautifully.

A color born on the road, now living on stage.

Originally a military color, olive drab was developed to blend into natural environments, dust, foliage, earth. Its muted green-brown tone wasn’t about standing out, but disappearing.

Over time, it found its way onto instruments, carrying that same raw, utilitarian feel. It gives an instrument a sense of purpose, toughness, and quiet confidence.

From camouflage to craftsmanship, olive drab turns function into aesthetic.

A color inspired by the living reefs of the South Pacific that has been used in the 60 for a lot of Cadillac cars.

Tahitian Coral captures a sense of depth, fragility, and natural beauty turning this beautiful U8 Deluxe Markus Reuter Special Edition instrument into something that feels alive before a single note is played.

A new Touch Guitar has found its home. One of our customers has just received his brand new U8 Deluxe from our stock! Coming from a background in traditional Breton music, Arnaud Malivoir usually plays at dance events deeply rooted in the culture of Brittany, France.

He told us:
„I hope I will be able to play traditional tunes with my TG soon.”

We can’t wait to hear how those traditional tunes translate onto the Touch Guitar. It’s always inspiring to see new musical worlds explored on this instrument.

Construction Sunday with Stefan & Fabian. Today is all about building, experimenting, and pushing ideas forward. We’re deep in the workshop working on a bunch of new developments some small refinements, some bigger concepts. There’s a lot cooking behind the scenes.

After completing every instrument from the Markus Reuter Signature Series, the workshop is finally opening up for something new.

Fresh builds. New ideas. The same obsession with detail.

Right now, three completely new developments are in progress and if all goes to plan, they’ll be ready for Guitar Summit 2026.

At the same time, all current orders are moving forward nicely. We’re really happy with the progress and excited to bring each of them to completion.

This next chapter is all about pushing boundaries and crafting instruments that inspire you to play differently.
