❄️ Snowflakes – Pattern & Poster Design

Sometimes it all starts with a single observation.�With the quiet beauty of a snowflake.

What arises completely by chance in nature is developed step by step in my process – from initial sketches in Procreate to precise vector files in Illustrator to the finished pattern collection.

I am fascinated by symmetry. By the subtle differences. And by the idea that no two snowflakes are alike.

✨ Today, my little witch's hat got to travel through all kinds of painting media: First, I tested it with coloured pencils to try out volume and shading. Then I moved on to gouache, where the colours looked completely different – even if my flowers turned out a bit pastel 😅. And finally, I painted it in watercolour, very soft and lively.�I love how each medium gives the motif its own unique mood. 🎨💛
