Have you ever been given a nickname by your boss, colleagues, or people you've worked with?
I have.
Over the years, I've collected quite a few.
A woman with a hurried mind.
Fire in the belly.
A wandering head.
Some were meant as compliments. Others, perhaps not.
But I've never held onto whether they were positive or negative. They were simply reflections of how others experienced me.
Curious.
Restless.
Always asking questions.
Always looking for what could be better.
Those qualities have shaped much of my career.
But building Novel Monsoon Atelier has introduced me to something equally valuable: Patience.
Working with artisans and natural materials has taught me that meaningful craftsmanship cannot be rushed. It takes time to grow, time to weave, and time to truly understand the people, traditions, and processes.
In many ways, this journey has balanced me. It hasn't changed who I am—it has expanded who I can become.
Sometimes, the work we choose doesn't just build a business.
It quietly reshapes us.
