De fleste blev til i 1950’erne, og de vinder stadig anerkendelse verden over. Navne som J46 og J52 er ikke bare møbler – det er et stykke dansk kulturhistorie. Børge Mogensen var den første leder af FDB tegnestuen, da den åbnede i 1942. Tegnestuens mission var at designe smukke og funktionelle møbler, der kunne erhverves af ’menig mand’ til en fornuftig pris – dog uden at gå på kompromis med kvali

teten. Både designet og produktionen blev gjort rationel og enkel, og netop dette skulle senere vise sig at blive det, der gjorde dansk møbeldesign verdenskendt. De bliver primært solgt på www.coop.dk, men i 2015 åbnede den første FDB Møbler butik.

As the granddaughter of renowned furniture architect Børge Mogensen, Sarah Moutouh is rooted in a tradition defined by simplicity and quality.⁠
Her first design for FDB Møbler was the P12 rocking horse, created in connection with the relaunch of Børge Mogensen’s iconic children’s furniture from 1946. Inspired by the knight in a game of chess, the design brings together playfulness, craftsmanship and timeless form.
