Sat down to film a demo, wanted to record something with a lot of gain, but kept on playing this little melody, so thought so be it.

Quick and dirty (twss) phone demo of this Ella plugged into my little valve amp. I posted an acoustic demo last week, and had several accusations of it actually being secretly plugged in (I'll take that as a compliment) but hopefully when you hear this amplified demo, against the acoustic one, the difference will be obvious.

I had soooooooo many requests for a fully acoustic demo of this guitar so here it is, filmed with the harshness of my phone, and the fumbles of my fingers (you get them for free!)

Although fitted with a really rather marvellous "electric guitar" pickup mounted through the fretboard that I custom designed for this model (it is totally unique), that can handle high gain through a tube amp, and a lovely passive piezo system, these unique instruments are very happy played acoustically.

I'm getting back into the groove of things after a long and lovely summer. I'll probably still take the odd week off her...

I'm getting back into the groove of things after a long and lovely summer. I'll probably still take the odd week off here and there to go on sailing trips, (assuming the weather permits), but it's a great feeling to see a massive chunk of time between now and christmas where I can get some serious loothin done without distraction.

I've got no less than 4 guitars I need to ship in the coming weeks, so lots of anxious last minute checks, endless searching for a perfection that doesn't exist, and then trusting UPS to send them across the globe, but THEN I can start on the next batch.

Lovely lovely stuff.

I posted this on my story yesterday, and it gained A LOT of interest, so I thought I would give these photos the limelight they deserved.

I took these photos just to send to the client, showing him I had mounted the pickup (hence the loose wire in the third photo, it will be tidied up, untwist your knickers before stamping on your keyboard)

This one is definitely up there. Maybe my favourite build to date? The thing has so much presence as an object.

Sigh.

If only I could keep it! (Although this is perhaps the first guitar of mine I didn't feel worthy of keeping)
