With Peter Larsen , Jan Rasmussen and Doorhead Publishing .head at Darcy’s cafe 15:00!

Doorhead is a small art book publishing house. With a focus on younger artists and book formats that accommodate the artists’ visions, the publishing house will concentrate on book objects that are produced in smaller editions and preferably have a unique character.

Small art book publishers play an important role in nurturing and supporting the art scene by providing a platform for young artists to showcase their work. Doorhead is an independent publishing house driven by a passion for art and a commitment to promoting creativity and diversity within the artistic community.

Doorhead’s mission is to support and enrich the art scene by providing artists with a platform to present their work in a beautifully crafted format. By focusing on high-quality design and production, Doorhead’s publications are not only informational but also serve as art pieces in their own right. The publishing house collaborates closely with artists, graphic designers, printers and bookbinders to produce books that are a testament to artistic expression and craftsmanship.

Blekksprutn Risotrykkeri is a cooperative run by eight graphic designers and illustrators: Annika Verdal Homme, Araitz Mesanza, Ella Bratt, Henrik Øiestad Myrvold, Johannes Barlaup Jellum, Tiril Haug Johne, Tonje Lona Eriksen, and Victoria Ydstie Meyer.🌱

They offer risograph printing services to customers all over Norway, while also developing their own practices connected to riso. This has resulted in a sales table filled with fanzines, posters, postcards, almanacs, and notebooks.

«Love, Misha»
A talk with Askel Aden about his newest book «Love, Misha», his journey into q***r comics, self-publishing and getting published, and using magical elements as metaphors to layer the reality of his characters.

The talk will be held at at 14:00 💚

1. Askel Aden is a transgender gay cartoonist, and swamp dwelling creature residing in a bog near Copenhagen. He makes comics about the q***r experience and difficult family relations, often told with a dash of magical intrigue. His newest book “Love, Misha” was published earlier this summer, and revolves a non-binary teen and their distant mother who go on a road trip and land themselves in the Spirit World. Aden’s books handle difficult themes, but he strives to tell hopeful q***r narratives in a world where hope can be hard to find when you don’t fit the mold.

Hugo is a q***r Latinx illustrator exploring q***r bodies, both literal and symbolic, through tactile practices such as printmaking and textiles. Their work investigates how these forms can carry metaphors of identity, intimacy, and transformation, creating images that connect material process with lived experience 💜

Men Against Patriarchy .cph [Cph] was created in December 2020. They are a
group who acknowledges that they, as cis-men, have privileges as the
result of patriarchy that must be recognized and dismantled. MAP meet
weekly and try to deconstruct how they have been socialized as men, how they
propagate patriarchy daily, and how this affects them as well as those
around them. In early 2025 MAP published a book called «Difficult hugs»
discussing how they created an anti-patriarchal men’s group and how others
can make one too 👬
