🇩🇰Our tour guide Tove was 3 years old when the N***s occupied Denmark and she and her mother planned to escape to Sweden.
🇩🇰 Tove’s mother escaped to Sweden while a local fisherman and his wife who were childless kept Tove during the war. She was lucky to be blond and look like other non-Jewish Scandinavian children

No photo: while enjoying fish and chips we met two older men at the outdoor seating area. One of whom was in town to give a lecture about his time training with US forces in Oklahoma - he later was the Danish Queen’s helicopter pilot!
