These guys, made from scrapwood, are always looking out for us, at the studio when we are not there. Every morning and every night, standing around to say Hi or good bye and see you soon, making us feel safe and welcome. it’s always nice to have friends you can count on ❤️

Scenes from Louisiana

Spending a day at the Louisiana Museum of art, to enjoy a coffee on the terrace, take a dip in the sea, stroll around the different rooms and the surrounding park, is as great an experience as seeing one of their many exhibitions.

Our inspiration for this art collection came from the many days we have spend at Louisiana art museum, which, in our opinion is one of Denmarks most beautiful places and an architechtural masterpiece out of the ordinary.

The way the building bodies weave in and out of the landscape in a fixed rhythm, where the boundaries between outside and inside are abolished, the elegant transitions between the materials of the buildings, the patterns from the the bricks, the steady rhythm from the supporting wooden structures, play so beautifully together and on a drowsy summer day, when associations are set free, it almost seems that the sculptures on the site reflect and comment on the people who move around between them....

At Kolekto, our workbenches are never empty.
We constantly dive into custom projects, crafting architectural miniatures, puzzles, and wooden figures for special occasions.

Over the years, we have designed unique pieces for amazing partners like Carlsberg, Realdania, Danish Architecture Center, the UN Climate Award, and museum shops worldwide.

But one project holds a truly special place in our hearts.

To celebrate Her Majesty Queen Margrethe’s 80th birthday, we were commissioned to create a very personal gift.

The result was a dynamic model of her residence, Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.

We transformed the iconic palace into an architectural sculpture and puzzle made of 8 handmade blocks of sustainable wood.
The blocks can be assembled in various ways, bringing the architecture to life.

We were deeply honored to design and produce this unique piece for the palace.
We hope Her Majesty, her children, and grandchildren continue to enjoy this puzzle. 🇩🇰✨
