ld be traced back to Nature Deficiency Disorder :) We are simply made to be part of the natural environment and cannot really thrive and be healthy in total separation. The mushrooms tend to remind people how everything is connected, when we observe how their mycelium network connect trees or when we eat certain mushrooms containing psilocybin, people often report a feeling of connectivity and a web of life. I made Quercus Design to help integrate nature in our homes so that we are never disconnected and we remember that we are part of nature!

🍄 Svampe har forandret mit syn på naturen – og måske kan de også forandre dit.

Da jeg begyndte at arbejde med svampe gennem Quercus Design, troede jeg, at jeg "bare" skulle lave lamper af en fascinerende organisme.
Men jo mere jeg lærte, desto mere gik det op for mig, at svampe er noget af det mest utrolige, naturen har skabt.

De forbinder skove gennem enorme underjordiske netværk, kan nedbryde giftstoffer, indgår i udviklingen af nye bæredygtige materialer og har været brugt som medicin og føde i tusindvis af år. Hver måned bliver der gjort nye opdagelser, som viser, hvor stor betydning de har for livet på Jorden.

Derfor har jeg skabt "Svampenes Verden".
Nu på søndag inviterer jeg dig til en sanselig aften, hvor du ikke bare skal lytte – du skal opleve.

If you've been wondering why I've been a little quiet on this profile lately, here's the reason.

Over the past few months, I've had the opportunity to start a new project that addresses many of the same challenges I've experienced as an artist myself.

Building a sustainable career as an artist isn't just about creating art. It also means learning marketing, sales, social media, networking, exhibitions, and countless other skills. That can be overwhelming.

Together with a friend, I decided to create Kunstvæggen (The Art Wall)—a physical gallery and art shop in Copenhagen, combined with an online platform, where we help artists gain more exposure and sell their work both in the shop and online.

I'm incredibly excited about this project. It has taken up a lot of my time recently, but I truly believe it has the potential to make a real difference for many artists.

We're creating much more than a gallery—we're building a creative community. We'll be hosting exhibitions, workshops, artist gatherings, talks, and cultural events, all with the goal of helping artists build more sustainable careers while bringing art closer to the public.

Here's what's happening every week: 🎨 Tuesdays – Artist Café: a creative space to work on your own projects and meet fellow artists. 🎙️ Every second Thursday – Art Stories: our live talk show and podcast featuring inspiring guests with extraordinary stories. 🍷 Fridays – Friday Salon: our weekly artist hangout to kick off the weekend. ✨ Weekends – rotating exhibitions, workshops, and special cultural events.

🌿✨ GRAND OPENING – THE ART WALL ✨🌿

Today marks the grand opening of The Art Wall in Copenhagen, and I couldn't be more excited to be part of this new chapter.

For many years, as an artist, I have been searching for a place exactly like this: a place where artists can exhibit their work, connect with the public, host events, and build a sustainable career doing what they love.

The Art Wall is more than just a gallery. It is a community of passionate artists coming together to support one another, share knowledge, collaborate, and help each other navigate the many challenges of building a life as an artist.

Because the truth is that creating great art is only part of the journey. Artists also need visibility. We need opportunities to share our work, tell our stories, and connect with people who resonate with what we create. All of this takes time and energy that often competes with the creative process itself.

What excites me most is that we are building a community where artists can share audiences, exchange ideas, create exhibitions together, and mastermind ways to improve both our art and our ability to bring it out into the world.

For me personally, this creates a beautiful opportunity to continue sharing the mission behind Quercus Design: to remind people of our connection to nature, to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world, and to remember that we are not separate from the ecosystem—we are part of it.

From now on, The Art Wall will be open every week from Tuesday to Sunday, giving visitors the opportunity to experience and purchase my artworks in person.

Just finished upgrading the decorations at Vibroacoustics here in Copenhagen ✨🌿
They’ve created a beautiful Sensorium space where you can lay down on vibroacoustic boards, plug into nature-inspired soundscapes, and let your nervous system completely unwind. It’s like being gently carried into a deep, natural state of calm 🌊🍃
I’ve been decorating with my mushroom lamps and plants for different events over time, and now also in their studio. This collaboration feels really special — we’re both working to bring nature closer to people, creating a little oasis right in the middle of the city 🌱
The vibe in here is truly special. soft and grounding. I’m really looking forward to joining some of their upcoming events with vibroacoustic bass therapy, surrounded by warm light and natural frequencies from the mushroom lamps 🍄✨

This sculpture is a testament to how life forms are shaped by their environment.
It’s a beech tree that has been slowly strangled by another plant, and as a result, it has taken on this almost snake-like form.
I’ll be mounting mushroom lamps all the way up the trunk to illuminate the artwork that nature has already created.

I’m currently working on a new sculpture made from a strangled beech trunk — probably the most beautiful piece of wood I’ve ever found. It has been drying in my home for about a year, and it’s finally ready to be transformed into a mushroom lamp sculpture.
I’m deeply drawn to these odd, twisted shapes in nature. You can clearly see how life is shaped by its environment — how pressure, obstacles, and struggle leave their mark. The grain, the tension, the curves… all evidence of a life that adapted.
This piece will serve as a reminder that everything is connected. That the forces we resist often become the very things that define us.
Diamonds are formed under pressure.
And sometimes the struggles we move through are what make us unique — what deepen our compassion and give us the ability to support others walking similar paths.
Nature doesn’t grow in straight lines.
And neither do we.

I dag har jeg klargjort til søndagens Byg din egen svampelampe workshop – og sikke et vejr.
Det er længe siden, jeg har stået udendørs i t-shirt og bare mærket solen på kroppen. Den slags dage minder mig om, hvorfor jeg overhovedet laver det her.
Det føles virkelig godt at komme i gang med workshops igen. Jeg har mange planer for det næste år – og jeg glæder mig helt ustyrligt til at samle flere mennesker omkring natur, håndværk og fællesskab.
Men der er noget helt særligt ved svampelampe-workshoppen.
Vi oplever ikke bare naturen sammen.
Vi arbejder ikke bare med naturen.
Vi bygger et stykke kunst i samarbejde med naturen – noget, du kan tage med hjem og integrere i dit eget rum.
Et lys, der bærer historien om skoven med sig.
På den måde bliver forbindelsen ikke bare en oplevelse for en dag – men noget, der lever videre i dit hjem.

This Sunday I’m inviting a small circle of people into the forest — and later into my workshop.
Not for a big event.
Not for something rushed.
But for a day of presence.
We begin among the trees.
Learning about the hidden networks beneath our feet.
About symbiosis.
About the quiet intelligence of fungi.

Then we return to the workshop — and slowly transform mushrooms into light 🍄
With our hands.
In conversation.
In shared focus.
You will build your own SvampeLampe from wild-harvested fungi.
A piece of nature to design you home.
A lamp that carries the memory of the forest into your home.
There will be time.
There will be depth.
There will be sauna and a shared meal in the evening — sitting together as the lamps begin to glow.

This workshop is also the beginning of something new:
Quercus Tribe.
A small but growing community of people who want to reintegrate with nature —
Who value craft, presence, and meaningful connection.

Nu har jeg endelig fastlagt to nye datoer for min Quercus Design workshop – Lav din egen svampelampe 🍄✨ det bliver d. 8. Og 22. Februar.
Jeg har afholdt workshoppen én gang før, og det var en virkelig fin og nærværende måde at være sammen på – hvor vi byggede en svampelampe fra start til slt på én dag.
Der var fordybelse, fællesskab og masser af god energi, og jeg glæder mig utrolig meget til at gentage succesen.
Denne gang vil jeg invitere endnu flere med på en kreativ rejse tættere på svampene, naturen og det håndlavede.
