Hello Ktooberz! it's been a long time no see, i missed you all guys, unfortunately i came today with some bad news, after a long time of deliberation and hesitation, i have made the decision to end the journey here, an to shut-down Ktoobz.
To be honest with you guys i don't know exactly why i couldn't make this work over the years, I'm not sure what's wrong with me, is it the way my brain works, or is is just bad luck that every time there's a major event that disrupts everything. regardless, being with you guys throughout the past 9 year was a blessing, there was some of the happiest and most exciting years of my life scattered over there, and i suspect that a lot of you have some fond memories with Ktoobz and with the books that you bought from it,
I do remember at the start around 2015/2016 when there was no delivery services and i used to come to each of your houses/ location to give the books to you personally, yes the journey using public transport wasn't great, but seeing you guys excited about your new books was more than worth it.
I look back and i see ktooberz spending years along with us reading stories or absorbing knowledge ... fantasy books that takes you into adventurous journeys, Young Adult books that helped you navigate the emotion of being a new adult in this world, books to help you study and graduate, as i witnessed many people having the books for their final years of university for their dissertations, and others finding their way through adolescence by reading coming-of-age tales.
I realize that all of you guys are in a different place now, you graduated your universities and probably are in the work force, you are no longer new to the adulthood as you're a full blown adults, you are no longer dealing with coming of age and the surprises that come with it, as a lot of you have kids of your own now, and sadly a lot of you no longer delve into these fantasy worlds that were once consuming your entire free time, you have enough on your plates now.
I also think about the younger friends that we came to have in the last couple of years, and i regret that ktoobz cant be part of your lives as it did with the older generation, i regret that we can't provide these stories and knowledge to help you navigate life until you graduate those phases of your existence and no longer needs these books and these stories. but soldier on young ktooberz, and have fun! for everything has an end.
Life moves on for all of us, and it makes me extremely happy that ktoobz was part of your all of your lives at some point, however small or big that part was.
P.S. I will be posting one final post containing pictures of the small collection of books we still have is stock, so if you want to order one last time from ktoobz and help us liquidate what have, it will be a pleasure.
As for me, the last 9 years of bookselling all started when i fell in love with a couple of books, one of them was the TFIOS, and for the sake of rhyming the Endings with the Beginnings, i will quote it and say to you guys that: "I can not tell you how thankful I am, for our little infinity. You gave me a forever, within the numbered days. And for that I am... I am eternally grateful"💚
