The Only 💚🌳💚 Light is the name of this enchanting photograph by the highly talented Japanese photographer Misaki Nagao. His image received an Honourable Mention in the Landscape section of the 2026 Minimalist Photography Awards. He spent a long time waiting for the sun to hit the tree whilst everything else remained dark. It shows that with time and patience you can see beauty in many things.

An Ocellated 🖤🤍🖤 Eagle Ray has a beautiful pattern - this was perfectly captured by the highly talented award winning photographer and filmmaker Kaushiik Subramaniam in the Maldives. This image was a finalist in the 2025 Black and White Photo Awards Fauna and Flora Category. Kaushiik is also an MSc Wildlife Conservation Biologist so somehow his images convey a true affiliation to the subject and its environment. His work like many other photographers helps us to connect and inspire to protect vulnerable ecosystems.

It’s hard 🤍🏢🤍 nowadays to find a view that is timeless. This view hasn’t changed since 1547 when King François constructed stone ramparts around Saint-Paul de Vence which originated as a hilltop castrum in 1117 (expanding into a fortified medieval town during the 14th century and designated as a royal town in 1418 by Louis III) Human creations which stand the test of time are so valuable. Solitude 🤍🌫️🤍 is the title of this striking photograph by the hugely talented New Zealand photographer Richard Young. This image won him 3rd place in the Fine Art / Landscape section of the 2025 International Photography Awards. The iceberg is in the Ross Sea, Antarctica and he says ”as the sea ice grows the sea shrinks and as the sea shrinks the sea ice grows - everything is connected” something we should be mindful of in this time of a global climate emergency.
