The Traxxas TRX-4 Chevrolet Blazer -
this 1:10 crawler looks like a classic 1972 Blazer, but underneath sits a proper climber with portal axles and locking diffs. The lifted suspension gives the clearance that harder terrain demand so the car doesn’t hang up on obstacles. The 2-speed gearbox lets you pick slow torque for climbing or a faster gear on open ground. If you want good looks and real climbing capability at once, this is a solid pick.

The body is modelled on the 1979 Ford F-150, but it’s more than good looks: the portal axles raise the whole drivetrain higher, giving you more clearance and less hanging up when there are rocks and roots underneath. We met Bruno Vaher from RC-Modelshop, the hobby shop located right next to the track hosting the EFRA European Championship in Rakvere. We took the opportunity to learn more about his passion for RC, his journey, and his thoughts on the KYOSHO brand! 👇

It all started before the fall of the Berlin Wall, when Estonia was still part of the Soviet Union. I began around 1985 with circular model cars.

We didn't have much equipment or money, so my first model was very simple: it ran around a central pole and was powered by an airplane engine with a propeller.

Later, I discovered slot racing, and in 1996 I bought my first real RC car: a 1/10 Touring car. That was the beginning of my RC journey.

For about ten years now. I was running my local RC club, and around the same time, I decided to open my own hobby shop. It has been an amazing adventure, combining my passion for RC with my daily work.

▶️ "𝑻𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑹𝑪 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒙!"

I've been working on the current facility for about two years. We've rebuilt the off-road track several times to find the perfect balance in the dirt preparation. We have also invested a lot to give drivers the best possible experience, whether they come to practice, race, or simply enjoy the hobby.

We carry the full Kyosho range in our shop. The Fazer series is very popular, and the Mini-Z cars are incredibly successful. Of course, we also have the new MP11. Actually... I couldn't resist! I'll be racing in the European Championship with my own MP11.
