Debonair former Slothrop's squatter Adam Cullen is confidently stepping on the proverbial historical rake by opening his own bookstore/café in bustling off-season Haapsalu! Come around for the grand opening next Friday, September 30th, and leave your hard-earned capitalist coins behind.

Pagu is a cozy nook on the corner of Posti and Uus streets where he'll offer quality coffee, a couple beers, a couple wines, and some other non-alco drinks. The highly curated literary selection includes a puzzling array of Estonian literature in translation (13 languages and counting), new Estonian prose and poetry, and used non-Estonian-language books (yes, Cullen does accept donations – fiction and poetry only, please).

Armsad Puändi sõbrad!

Tahaksime teiega jagada ühte toredat (äpardumis)lugu. Eks meile on raamatupoe tegemine pidev töö ja õppimine ja viimane murekoht oli nimelt ingliskeelsete raamatutega.

Seoses Telliskivi Loomelinnakusse kolimisega teadsime, et riiulipinda saab meil poes topelt olema ning valmistusime selleks ka usinalt. Tellimused olid sees ja avamispäev lähenes jõudsalt. Mis aga kuidagi meieni jõuda ei tahtnud olid raamatud. Kõned, lõputud kirjavahetused ja segadused, mis klaarimist vajasid. Kõik see lõppes sellega, et vahest liigne hingamisruum meie riiulites sai nüüd täidetud. Topelt. Pea kõik tellimused jõudsid nüüd meieni ühekorraga ja meil uputab. Raamatutest.

Me teame, ka meie jaoks on see parim võimalik maailmalõpustsenaarium, aga jagaksime oma "mure" heameelega teiega. EHK kui olete juba lugemisega siiani jõudnud, siis kuni septembri lõpuni kogu ingliskeelne ilukirjandus -15%
