Got a fine Esteve classical in for a full setup for a professional Russian guitarist playing here in Alexandria.

The main issue was a harsh, unbalanced output from a piezo pickup that had been previously swapped back in Russia. Re-seated and prepped the saddle slot, balanced out the string-to-string response, and dialed in the playability. Upgrading her to an L.R. Baggs system down the road, but for now, she’s balanced and stage-ready. 🌊🔊✨

6 loose top braces right infront of the bridge a very critical area and tight area to work around
Just a normal day at the shop. 🛠️☕

Six loose top braces, right in front of the bridge. It’s a super critical area under massive string tension, and a brutally tight space to mirror-inspect, prep, clean, and clamp properly. Got them all glued and locked down tight to save the top from imploding. 🔊🩹

This Epiphone came in absolutely wrecked after a bad accident, but it’s leaving the bench stronger and smarter than before.

🩹 Glued up a nasty neck break and carved a fresh bone nut.

🪵 The jack area was completely torn out. Grafted in a mahogany patch, glued it up, and blended the refinish.

📐 To make sure it never breaks like this again, I modded the design and moved the jack to the side, Gibson-style.

🧼 Dropped on a fresh set of pickup covers to clean up the look.

✨ Finished it off with a full fret leveling and crowning using the StewMac Z-File plus a mirror polish.

Plays like an absolute dream now. 🔊💎
