If we examine his character, Kody does have greedy tendencies; he always feels like he never has enough and always demands something much more and on a larger scale in his life.
He also appears to have a behavioral pattern that easily gets bored or fussy after staying in a location for a certain period of time, which then always leads to the decision to leave. For example, when the dynamics of life are felt to be too heavy, boring, and he is required to be responsible for too many family members, he will start to feel restless. At that point, he usually immediately packs up all his messy domestic affairs and decides to move to a new place.

If we flashback to Season 6 Episode 10, the moment when they attended a group therapy session at the retreat shows how defensive Robyn and Kody were. The way they responded and revisited that moment in their confessional interviews truly demonstrated their complete lack of understanding of the essence or purpose of the therapy. It was a truly contradictory scene.
We see clear evidence of this in Kody's direct quote, complaining about the depth of the therapy, saying, "She made it so personal that I was like, 'Wait a minute, this is supposed to be lighthearted.'" This statement demonstrates his reluctance to delve deeper into the family's emotional issues.

What really caught my attention was Janelle's seemingly complicit comparison. David isn't her husband, nor is he a stepfather to Janelle's now-grown children. The question arises: why does Janelle have to get so involved and dwell on these new domestic issues?
I wouldn't be surprised if, deep down, a small part of Janelle yearns for a man like David. But for the common good, let's just let Christine have and enjoy her happiness with the man of her choice, completely, for now, without the need for any emotional interference from others.

In the midst of this whirlwind of decisions, Janelle found herself in a very disadvantaged and worrying economic position. Long before their move to Las Vegas, Janelle had even willingly sacrificed all (or at least part) of her personal 401K retirement fund to support the family's financial stability. Ironically, she then also gave the proceeds from the sale of her Las Vegas home to Kody and Robyn. While Kody and Robyn enjoyed the amenities of a luxury home, Janelle had to survive by living in very modest rental homes, even briefly living in a small apartment that visually looked more like a student housing area.

If we look at the facts, Kody tends to only dare to be confrontational or harsh when dealing with women. He seems completely unaware of the patterns of gaslighting, manipulation, gender bias (misogyny), gross selfishness, and self-inflicted failures he creates. It could be said that Kody's greatest skill so far has been his ability to deny.
In their belief system, men are positioned to hold a much higher status than women. This is the basis for his reluctance to confront other men. Kody certainly wouldn't be able to accept it if another man dared to challenge his authority. In his mindset, if another man didn't provide validation or praise (like a pat on the back) it would be immediately perceived as a major insult.

Without the support of his three previous wives to support their lifestyle, Kody likely would have brought Robyn back into a difficult financial reality—perhaps even to the point of having to live in a communal housing complex and rely on community assistance again. This situation would have been a severe blow to his arrogance, which had long believed he was the primary breadwinner in the extended family.
It was a stark contrast; it was as if this situation had presented them with an "enlightenment" or a light of truth, regarding how they were truly "chosen" by God—not for spiritual privilege, but chosen to finally begin to truly work hard and understand the realities of life.

Do you all still remember the moment in Season 11 Episode 2 when Kody went to see Leon to discuss the online identity fraud (catfishing) incident that befell Meri? At that moment, Kody uttered a line that essentially stated, "I love you, and if you don't love me back, I don't care. But your mother loves you, and if you don't love her back, it will hurt her deeply." What's very interesting to note is how in subsequent episodes, Kody reverses course and blames his children for the breakdown in their relationship, arguing that interpersonal relationships are two-way communication.
It's also quite contradictory to note how in that scene he confidently claims to have unconditional love. However, in reality, the form of love he gives Christine is proven to be very conditional and full of demands for compliance.

What makes matters worse in this family is that Kody's actions often spark chaos and sow resentment among his wives. He seems to feel that this situation enhances his masculinity or makes him appear more manly when he sees several women competing for his attention, time, and love.
On the other hand, he also consistently refuses to take responsibility for the negative impact of his actions. Honestly, I'm quite convinced he actually enjoys being at the center of this competition.
This view feels entirely accurate. The only way a woman can truly survive and accept the presence of a second or subsequent wife in her life is if the marriage is based solely on practical or logistical reasons, without any deep emotional attachment to the man.

The logic behind Robyn's claims is understandable, as she demands all of Kody's time for herself. She can easily make this argument in public precisely because she consistently displays a very submissive and obedient demeanor in front of him.
Over the years, Robyn has slowly instilled certain doctrines and ideas into Kody's shallow mindset. This pattern is clearly observable through her frequent probing questions, such as her signature line: "Do you think that's safe?" Through rhetorical questions like these, make no mistake; Robyn is in complete control of the decisions she makes, but she cleverly frames them so that Kody still feels like the ideas are purely her own.

Christine strived from the beginning to project the image of the ideal polygamist wife, given her background as a descendant of "polygamous royalty." However, over time, Christine seemed to grow weary of maintaining this standard of perfection. Kody also realized early on that outside their inner circle, this prestigious status was actually overblown. The fact that succession in their church wasn't bloodline-based, coupled with the fact that Christine's family was large and their church community was relatively small, meant that the outside public paid little attention to the fact that Kody was marrying the granddaughter of the group's founder.
