The discovery of the stone in 1799 AD
It was deciphered and the ancient Egyptian civilization was discovered in 1822 AD, by the French scientist Champollion.
Where the stone contained the keys to the ancient Egyptian civilization, and had it not been for the decoding of the stone, the ancient Egyptian civilization would have remained mysterious until now.
• Champollion deciphered the stone symbols based on his long experience in the ancient Greek language.

There were many scientists who made attempts to discover and decipher the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Among them, "Sylvester de Sassi" and "Akerblad" were interested in the demotic line
The discovery of the hieroglyph by the English scientist "Thomas Young"
There was also a role for Arab scholars in deciphering ancient Egyptian writing.
An example of this is the Egyptian scientist “Ayoub bin Maslama” who accompanied the Caliph Al-Ma’mun on his visit to Egypt
Also, the scientist "Dhul-Egyptian"
And the scientist "Al-Maqrizi" who was interested in the hieroglyphic line
But "Champollion" was credited with deciphering the codes more clearly and completely.
Since the announcement of Champollion deciphering the ancient Egyptian writing, a new science has begun to see the light like other sciences, which is ((Egyptology)).
The credit was due to Western scholars in the field of history and archeology
