The Importance of Animal Salt Blocks
Animal salt blocks come in various weights, colors, and shapes and are placed in livestock pens for animals such as sheep, goats, cows, buffalo, and other farm animals. These blocks are designed to compensate for the deficiency in the feed provided to farm animals, whether the feed is green or dry.
Animal salt blocks are composed of essential elements needed by animals for vital bodily functions, such as calcium, magnesium, cobalt, zinc, manganese, and others. These blocks are placed in animal pens, either by hanging them or placing them on a raised platform on the pen floor. Animals recognize and taste the salt blocks, thus continuously consuming the necessary salts they need.
