Looking back on life
In the quiet moments, shadows fade,
Pictures on the wall of the choices made.
Footsteps in the dust of days gone by,
Every laugh and tear, a reason why.
Looking back on life, through the lens of time,
Every mountain climbed, every hill to climb.
Lessons learned in the silence and the noise,
Finding strength in the echoes of my voice.
Whispers of the past dance in the night,
Memories like stars, guiding my flight.
With every twist and turn, I've come to see,
The beauty in the journey, it's all part of me.
Worn-out shoes that walked the winding road,
Carried every dream, every heavy load.
In the rearview mirror, I see the signs,
Of who I was and who I’ve yet to find.
Seasons change like pages in a book,
Every chapter written, if you take a look.
With scars and laughter, I’ll wear them proud,
A tapestry of life, woven in the crowd.
