Alessandro Perciaccante is a young Italian luthier living in La Herradura. As one of Maestro Stephen Hill favourite students, Alessandro continues under his training building the “Model 2” for the English luthier, as well as his own guitars, like this beautiful spruce and cypress classical guitar. It is a traditional Spanish making, which draws enormous attention for its extreme lightness and playing comfort. It is a fine instrument, carefully crafted with perfectly chosen woods. They produce a tremendously Spanish sound full of harmonics. The basses are resounding and powerful meanwhile the trebles are sweet and delicate. All these feature together make a great guitar that will absolutely delight its future owner.

Daniel Friederich was influenced by the legendary French luthier Robert Bouchet and has established himself as one of the most respected and influential luthiers in the world. Based out of France, Daniel Friederich made a name for himself with not only the silky, responsive tone of his instruments with powerful basses which project even in a large hall, but also with the graceful body shape and distinctive carved headstock adorning his guitars. The Luthier Select Friederich model salutes these construction methods, utilizing Friederich’s seven fan bracing pattern with delicately, hand-carved spruce braces and a solid Canadian cedar top. Featuring elegantly grained solid rosewood back and sides with rosewood binding, the Friederich’s understated beauty is made real with an intricate wood rosette and iconic carved headstock. The Friederich is finished using an ultra-thin Polyurethane finish to protect the delicate instrument without impeding the vibration of the soundboard. Complete with an included Deluxe Humidified Archtop wood case, the Luthier Select Friederich offers players a chance to enjoy the exemplary sound and feel of one of history’s premier luthiers at an unbeatable price.

Today is a very sad day for luthiers and guitarists around the world, and specially for the Granada School of Guitarmaking.
Yesterday, Antonio Raya Pardo passed away.

I always greatly admired him for being one of the most hard-working luthiers I have seen in my entire life and a humble man despite the masterpieces he built. He didn't like the small talk very much but his outstanding work spoke, and will always speak, for him.

May he rest in peace.
