I used to believe that love could be found only in another person and that it was something I needed to earn rather than something I deserved. But, the more I was searching for it outside, the more lost and empty I felt on the inside.

After years of healing and self-discovery, I thankfully understood that the most important and meaningful relationship in my life is the one I have with myself. I understood that how I relate to myself will set the tone and be reflected in all relationships I'll ever have. And I'm not only referring to romantic connections but also family, friendships, work and any other interaction with another being.

There is this saying that I love.. 'People can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves.'.
It is so true... From my experience, I can tell that the more I learn to love and accept myself unconditionally, the more I can do that with others. The more compassionate I am with myself, the more understanding and forgiving I am with others. The more I heal and evolve, the more I can relate to other people's journeys. The deeper I go within, the more profound and authentic connections I attract into my life. And the list goes on.

This is such a powerful realisation. It allows me to meet and see people on entirely different levels. It is also liberating, because regardless of what is going on around me, and whether I'm single or in a relationship, whether I am alone or surrounded by people, I feel complete knowing that everything I need is already in me.
So now you know why I'm such a massive ambassador of self-love and self-growth 😉

And yes, let's be real. There are days when the inner critic takes over my inner best friend or when certain realisations are painful and uncomfortable to deal with. But I view it as an opportunity to practice self-love, forgiveness and compassion. Self-discovery can be difficult and scary but so far it's the most exciting and rewarding journey I have ever been on.

So in case, anyone needs to hear this, especially today, I would like to remind you that it is not up to someone else to make you happy; it is up to you! Love yourself before loving anyone else and work on becoming the person you would like to attract. Of course, easier said than done, but once done, I promise you, it's so worth it!

In the meantime, happy Valentine's from me to you loves!

🫖 My primary school teacher used to say that life is like a cup of tea, you can sip it fast, from just anything or you can drink it from a porcelain cup, appreciating every sip and making the most of that experience ☕✨
