Preparing to move UK 🇬🇧 to Spain 🇪🇸 , 1 Year out! ❌ Mistakes I made ❌ ⬇️

Do not gather your documents too early or too late (check current validity of documents with your visa agency as Spain only accepts some within last few months) for instance, A1 Document took 6+ weeks to arrive from UK (Initially, I got mine wayyy too many months early and wasn’t ready to move yet ✈️, and had to ask for a new one months later, this was painful and took further 6 weeks to arrive) and its valid for 2 Years so you’ll want to time it close to your departure for maximum validity vs Crime certificate & apostilling documents were super speedy!!

This weekend was my 1️⃣🎂🇪🇸 My gosh time flies!! 😍

There is no perfectly curated expat life here, no advanced Spanish in year 1, no huge friend group from day one but there is an attitude & mindset I’ve kept coming back over the last year is this,

Just do life at a pace that works for YOU, and only YOU! 🙌 The friendship building, the trying new things outside of your comfort zone, learning, enjoying and adapting to the culture including the language learning and so forth - Juggling jobs, kids and the rest you may have on, it’s ALOT, everything will come in great time and we’re here to enjoy it all 🥰😍

Your train 🚊 is just perfectly on time and it’s going to take you on the adventure of a lifetime ❤️❤️

And just know, “The best is yet to come”
