Ivorypress was founded in 1996 by Elena Ochoa Foster as a publishing house specialising in artists' books. The project currently encompasses a wide range of areas and activities within the frame of contemporary art, which include its own art gallery and bookshop, art consultancy and art exhibitions curatorship, editorial services, audio-visual productions and education. Elena Ochoa Foster is the current Chairman and CEO of Ivorypress.

Today, Ivorypress welcomed Bjarke Ingels and Lord Norman Foster for a conversation on Utopian Pragmatism, as part of our September Cultural Programme.

The evening offered an opportunity to explore Ingels’s approach to architecture and the ideas that have shaped his work, followed by a conversation with Lord Foster reflecting on their perspectives and experiences.

The architecture of Swiss banking tells a story that rarely reaches the surface.

In Mountains of Gold, architect and researcher Ludo Groen traces the spaces created to accommodate Switzerland’s vast gold reserves. His research reveals an extraordinary network of buildings shaped by the particular demands of storing and safeguarding one of the world’s most valuable materials.

Drawing on archival material and previously inaccessible sites, the book reveals the physical infrastructure behind an industry usually understood through numbers rather than places.

A key figure of the experimental avant-garde, Alberto Greco developed his idea of arte vivo in the early 1960s, bringing art closer to everyday life and questioning where an artwork begins and ends. His actions, writings and vivo-dito works made the world around him part of his practice.

Published on the occasion of the Museo Reina Sofía’s 2026 retrospective Alberto Greco. Viva el arte vivo, this catalogue brings together more than 200 images alongside Greco’s own writings and essays examining a career that, despite its brevity, left a lasting mark on experimental art.
