Ivorypress was founded in 1996 by Elena Ochoa Foster as a publishing house specialising in artists' books. The project currently encompasses a wide range of areas and activities within the frame of contemporary art, which include its own art gallery and bookshop, art consultancy and art exhibitions curatorship, editorial services, audio-visual productions and education. Elena Ochoa Foster is the current Chairman and CEO of Ivorypress.

Ficciones brings together some of Jorge Luis Borges’s most celebrated short stories, moving between imaginary libraries and invented worlds where the boundaries of reality are constantly questioned.

Stories such as The Library of Babel, The Garden of Forking Paths and Funes the Memorious turn seemingly impossible ideas into places we can enter, asking what happens when memory becomes absolute, time divides into infinite possibilities or a library contains everything that could ever be written.

With the passing of Yayoi Kusama, the art world loses one of its most singular and influential voices.

For more than seven decades, Kusama pursued an intensely personal artistic vision that grew to resonate around the world. From her early years in Japan to her emergence within the New York avant-garde, she remained devoted to her practice throughout her life, continuing to paint until her final days.

Her extraordinary body of work changed the way generations of artists and audiences experience art. She leaves behind a world entirely her own, and a legacy whose influence will endure far beyond her lifetime.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Fernando Caruncho, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary landscape design.

Trained in philosophy before turning to gardening, Caruncho approached the landscape with an extraordinary sensitivity to place. For nearly five decades, he created gardens around the world guided by a deep belief in their ability to bring us closer to nature and to beauty.

His work leaves behind a deeply personal way of understanding the garden and a legacy that will continue through the many landscapes he shaped.
