It's been an intense but really nice weekend in La Herradura. For the first time we organized a guitar makers exhibition as part of the renowned Andres Segovia competition. Nine people exhibited and a more than decent amount of visitors came by. It was great to see the semi finals and the finale of the competition with some very impressive guitarists.

La Herradura is a nostalgic place to me as it's where my Spanish adventures began approximately 10 years ago.

Gluing peones today. Literally translated they're pawns, together they reinforce the connections between the soundboard and the sides.
In the first photo you can see the guitar without peones, second photo another guitar with the peones recently glued and the third photo shows them lined up waiting to be put to work next to the hide glue pot. It's a good moment to reflect on life. Today is the first rainy day since before the summer and the stove is on...
