✅ The USA midterm elections are around the corner. While you might be living abroad, you can still make sure your voice is heard and have your vote counted in the upcoming elections.

While we our Canadian at the shop here, we’re happy to help our neighbours (with a “u” 😈) exercise their right to vote.

Heather Wallace, a proud supporter and member of the Vote from Abroad organization, will be setting up for two sessions at Book Lovers Valencia to help you register to vote and cast your ballot in time for the upcoming midterm elections.

She will be available to help with the process and any questions you might have as an overseas voter.

👑 Join Valencia-based children’s author Phil Gold (Phil Gold ) for a morning of silly stories and questionable behavior!

Phil will be reading two of his picture books: The Stinky Princess, a story about a princess with a rather unfortunate problem, and The Duchess Would Not Approve!, a warm and wonderfully silly story about curiosity, imagination, and discovering that sometimes a little mess is exactly what a home needs.

Both stories are written for children ages 4–8, although grown-ups who appreciate a bit of silliness are very welcome too!

😸 The Cat in the Hat was a total blast.

Marti Lay (Marti Lay-artist,illustrator ) delighted us with a reading of this iconic Dr. Seuss story for last week’s Saturday Storytime, and she helped us make some hats of our own!

✨ Our Writers’ Open Mic was a hit last week! A huge round of applause for our July readers.

🏆 Congratulations to Phil Gold ( Phil Gold ), who won the audience favourite vote with his hilarious children’s story, Farty Artie Goes to a Party.

🎤 Huge thank you to the witty and wonderful Alexey ( Alexey Timbul ) for running the show once again.

👏 Bravo to all the writers who courageously got up on stage and shared their work with a room full of strangers (and friends).
