ArT Toy Newsletter 219: One monster arrives as a stranger and chooses to protect a new territory.
Another carries a television inside its chest, surrounded by the faces and fears left behind by years of broadcasting.
Yomöri and El Televidente show two very different ways ArT Toys can preserve Memory.
Yomöri speaks about migration, adaptation and belonging through responsibility.
El Televidente speaks about media violence, repetition and the images that remain inside us.
Neither figure matters simply because it is rare.

Most monsters are remembered for what they destroy.
Yomöri may be remembered for what it chooses to protect.
The first character from Don Kaiju Toys connects Japanese-inspired mythology, migration and Patagonia through a guardian that earns belonging by caring for the land that received it.
Its custom sofubi body opens that story to other artists, allowing the same creature to carry new colours, climates and memories.
The body remains.
The landscape changes.
