Our Flute Ensemble brought festival participants of all ages and levels onto one stage. Together with and from the Tampere Philharmonic, players explored the art of ensemble playing focusing on listening, blending, and sound color.

We were deeply honored to have Finnish flute legend Petri Alanko lead as conductor during the concert! Seeing everyone bring the music to life was truly inspiring.

Inspiring moments from the masterclasses with Johanna Dömötör and Jean Ferrandis at our summer festival! ✨

We have been collaborating with ever since her first visit to Huilupiste in 2019, which coincided with her masterclass at the Sibelius Academy. It was an absolute pleasure to have her join our summer festival. Johanna is a phenomenal educator and musician. Alongside her role as a flute professor at the Bruckner University in Linz, she maintains an active career in orchestral and chamber music.

We were thrilled to have at the festival, made possible by and Daniel Sharp. His incredible artistry and warm, easygoing nature truly resonated with everyone. Looking forward to seeing him again soon! 🇫🇮

Since joining our lineup in 2024, Powell has become one of our most successful recent dealerships. Powell Sonaré student flutes and custom handmade wooden flutes have quickly taken the top spot as our best sellers.

This partnership has been seamlessly supported by Daniel Sharp whose next-level flute expertise is unmatched. Daniel also gave an incredibly interesting workshop, Deconstructing Headjoints, at our festival!

We are extremely proud of Hanna Kinnunen, who joined the Powell Artist roster last year and delivered a highlight performance at our recent summer festival. 🎵

Masterclass moments with Denis-Pierre Gustin - principal flutist of the Belgian National Orchestra and flute professor at Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur. 🎶

Denis-Pierre and Päivi first visited Huilupiste in 2024. From the very beginning, they felt like old friends. We were deeply impressed by both their performance skills and their exceptional flute teaching abilities. Right away, we knew we wanted to collaborate on a future project. Since then, we have had a couple of meetings and many inspiring conversations that led to having them at our flute festival! 🇫🇮

Our festival featured dynamic Q&A sessions where valuable insights were shared and exchanged!
One of these highlights was Ask Burkart: Piccolo Q&A led by

Huilupiste became the official Finnish flute dealer for in 2021. Before that, we had only worked on Burkart flutes and piccolos on our flute repair bench, being constantly amazed by their beautiful sound and mechanical stability.
Both Ethan Lin-Schwartz and Daniel Carlo have visited Finland multiple times, and our entire team has learned so much from them. The Burkart team is amazingly helpful, and Ethan and Daniel have even become dear friends - which is why we wanted them to be part of our very first flute festival! 🇫🇮✨

We were also thrilled when Annaleena Jämsä became an official Burkart flute artist in 2022.

Day 1 of the Huilupiste Summer Festival started with an inspiring piccolo warm-up led by Päivi Kauffmann! 🎶

Beyond fun exercises like “Rigatoni Macaroni”, she reminded us of an essential piccolo technique tip: maintaining a “happy expression” while playing. But that does not mean forcing a smile - it is all about keeping your cheek muscles lifted so your piccolo embouchure does not droop or collapse.
