Thought I would share a little video of how I remove the original frets from vintage Fender guitars that were installed from the side.
Knocking them out the way they were installed leaves a clean slot and no damage to the fingerboard. Fender fretted guitars this way up until 1982 (if my old ass memory still serves correctly). If you have a vintage Fender with original frets, ask your luthier how they remove them, and if they don't know this trick, find one that does. 😉

Just had a customer inquire if I am still in business due to the lack of recent posts here.

Yes, indeed I am!

The shop has remained steadily busy for many, many months now, which has left little time for social media contributions. I will try to rectify that moving forward, if for no other reason than to simply remind everyone that I am still alive and kicking!

It's good to be back home after a much needed holiday! I plan to be back in the shop my regular hours next week (10-4), with the exception of Tuesday. Tuesday is reserved for a doctors check-up, x-rays, and a visit to physiotherapy. If all goes well, I hope to be officially cleared fit for return to active duty. Regardless, I intend to be back to work in some capacity right off quick like!

The shop will be closed for the remainder of June while I attempt to recuperate on holiday with the family. The shoulder is still pretty sore, but does seem to be healing well. Expecting to be back in active duty at the shop as of the first of July. In the meantime, go enjoy some sunshine!
