Wearable art handmade in Juva, Finland. I am a jewellery artist who makes eye-catching jewelry with a twist. I feel that this is my strength as a designer.

I use a lot of bright, strong colors and my jewelry can be quite big and striking. Sustainable values are the core in the production and the main materials are often recycled. My passion for making jewelry dates all the way back to my childhood. My idiom has naturally changed along the way but the same curiosity and desire for solving technical problems still plays an important role in my jewelry. Thanks to my goldsmith studies I have the technical skills required to make long-lasting and well functioning jewelry. No jewelry leaves my workbench until I am completely satisfied with all the details, both technical and appearance wise. During the designing process my source of inspiration is often the material itself and its possibilities. The idea of bringing the value back into forgotten materials fascinates me. I just love the challenge of turning trash into treasure. For me this means exploring the material and in the design taking advantage of the materials natural qualities. This often results in strong, three-dimensional and dramatic jewelry for all you brave ones out there who aren´t afraid of being the center of attention! I hope you enjoy my jewelry!

🌿🌱☘️

I took the time to photograph this neckpiece today. Having an outdoor photoshoot in the Finnish lake district this time of the year can be quite challenging since there are a lot of mosquitos! My first choice of location was so full of them that there was no chance of getting any pictures taken 😅 Fortunately there are a few good fern spots nearby and I got a few hundered pictures to choose from 🙈

KORUN TILA - Korutaideyhdistyksen jäsennäyttely avaa korun tämän hetkistä tilaa; niin korun muotoja, estetiikkaa kuin sen suhdetta kehoon.

Koru on esine, jonka voi aistia; tuntea iholla ja se toimii myös viestinnän välineenä.

Korutaide on melko uusi nykytaiteen muoto jossa sisältö menee edelle ja tekijä määrittää sen muodon.

Korutaiteen tila on laaja; korun kanssa voi liikkua jolloin se näkyy myös tilan ulkopuolella. Näyttely on rakentunut hakuprosessin kautta tulleiden ehdotusten perusteella sekä näytöllä pyörivästä Korutaideyhdistyksen olemassa olevasta kokoelmasta. Minulta näyttelyssä on mukana Kesytön kuiskaus -rintakoru.
