Tru oil finish, wenge back has no finish on it, just sanded to 320 grit.

Fanned fret progress!

- Use two magnets to find good spots for the holes for the pots and switches
- Print a manufacturers drill chart for holes placement for the bridge (make sure it's printed 1:1 to the real thing!)
- Set your drill press so that you only *just* come through the back. This way you can still adjust the line straight if you got it wrong, when you ream the back side for the ferrules.
- Pickup inserts done
- Neck glued!

Sunshine + quilt = nice

Going to become a 28"-26" fanned fret baritone, quilted mahogany neck, wenge body and walnut top. LUMI Pickups active humbuckers, Hipshot bridge and Schaller tuners.

Some wood for the next build. Kind of unsure what to make. I was thinking a 28" 6-string baritone, but then I thought a PRS'esque 24.75" scale set neck. But then I thought ESP Stream style could be nice.

Bass VI build is done, bit of a rough experiment/test piece this time.

The P90's didn't sound good in this so I had to reroute the pickup cavities for EMG's. Now it sounds great!

Body 20 odd yrs dried pine, flame birch top, maple neck, padauk board, stainless frets, Schaller hardware, Odie's oil on the fretboard, rest is tru-oil.

7-string build of the SMBH active humbucker!

Been too busy making pickups for any real progress on guitar building.

Here's a quick demo of the new Supermassive Black Hole active humbucker. These will become available to buy once I get all the parts and assembly sorted out!

Bass VI style build moving on... Top and back dyed. Top has couple coats of Odie's oil for protection. Binding done with CA and scraped flush.
