From photo to cushion… 🐾

Beans & Stan getting the squishy treatment...
Made from your own favourite photo — because apparently mugs weren’t enough to keep me occupied 😂
If you can imagine it, I can make it. 😺

Autumn has apparently arrived in the workroom... 🍂☕
A little sublimation, a little clay, and a lot of fiddling.
I rather like this one. 😊

So… Squeak got the cushion treatment today.....

This one really was made from scratch — starting with a favourite photo of Squeak, preparing the image, printing it with sublimation ink and then heat pressing it directly onto plain fabric.

From there, it was cut to shape, sewn, turned and stuffed… and eventually Squeak became Squeak 😺
Double-sided, shaped, and I'm rather pleased with how she turned out.
Of course, the real Squeak had to carry out the final inspection herself… with Beans supervising from behind. 😹

💡If you can imagine it, I can make it 😊

I've been busy again... 👀🌸🐝

Something a little different this time — combining a couple of ideas I've been experimenting with lately.

Still a little tweaking to do, but I think this one might be a keeper. 😊

If you can imagine it, I can make it. 🐝

I’ve been playing again today… 😂

I'm still teaching myself a few new skills, with varying degrees of success and a few choice words along the way!

I’ve learnt a few things I didn’t know yesterday, discovered several things I definitely need more practice at, and I think I’m heading in the right direction. 😂

Not giving too much away just yet though… I’m still experimenting!

If you can imagine it, I can make it ☺️

A slightly different post from me today, but an important one for small businesses.

We already have enough hoops to jump through, but the new EU packaging regulations are causing some very real concern for those of us making and selling physical products — particularly small businesses selling across EU borders.

For huge companies, another registration fee or extra bit of administration is probably barely noticeable. For a tiny business sending relatively small numbers of parcels, it's a very different story.

There is now a petition calling for proper exemptions and proportionate rules for micro-businesses:

https://www.change.org/p/stop-destroying-eu-micro-businesses-immediate-moratorium-on-cross-border-epr-fees

There is ALSO an official European Commission feedback process concerning the implementation of the new packaging rules, including the national registers used for producer registration and reporting.

This second link is particularly important. It isn't another petition — it's an opportunity to submit concerns directly to the European Commission as part of the EU's own consultation and implementation process:

https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/15352-Packaging-and-packaging-waste-rules-on-national-registers-of-producers_en

So, whether you're a small business directly affected by this or simply want to support those that are, please have a look at both. Signing the petition helps demonstrate the strength of feeling, while the Commission consultation gives people the opportunity to make those concerns heard through an official EU channel.

Small businesses really don't need any more hoops to jump through.

https://www.change.org/p/stop-destroying-eu-micro-businesses-immediate-moratorium-on-cross-border-epr-fees

https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/15352-Packaging-and-packaging-waste-rules-on-national-registers-of-producers_en

I had completely forgotten I made these!

Just found the photo whilst scrolling through my phone looking for something else, and I'm now wondering why I never did anything more with them 🤷‍♀️

Although, looking at them again... I may have overdone the cats slightly 😂

It’s 40° outside.

I’m hiding in my workroom with 3 fans running, accompanied by Beans and Squeak, because apparently this is the least unbearable room in the house.

So I decided to think cold thoughts.
Snow. Frost. Winter. Anything that doesn't involve 40° and sticking to your chair.

And somehow… I ended up designing Christmas card artwork......
In August.
(Hanging my head in shame 😞)

But these aren't just any Christmas cards. The little cats in the designs are inspired by my own two — Squeak, my former feral girl who decided 6 years ago that living with humans wasn't actually such a bad idea, and Beans, who was thrown from a car as a tiny 3 week old kitten last year and has been causing chaos here ever since.

From rather crap beginnings, to sitting in front of fans while I turn them into Christmas card characters. I'd say they've done alright. ❤️

I’ve never offered Christmas cards before, but apparently they're joining the range this year.

Christmas. In August.
Blame the heat. And the cats. 😂

💡If you can imagine it, I can make it. 💡
