Fresh off the needles—and no need for sleeves this time, which feels so good! 🙌🏼 The weather has been so crazy lately, and being able to wear this slipover over a T-shirt is just perfect.
I got so inspired by Megs Bustard style and thought, “Wait a minute, I can knit that!” So I did, and I love it.

My first summer knit.

I’m not entirely sure why I picked beige. I live in the countryside, where beige has a very short life expectancy 🤪.

This also marks the official induction of into the growing collection of unfinished projects😅.

Why has it joined the others?

Is it a commitment issue?

An artist issue?

A “constantly distracted by new ideas” issue? 😵‍💫

I’m not sure.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned with age, it’s that other people often feel the same things we think only we feel and that makes me feel less lonely in my head 😬

Does that make sense to you?

And by “you,” who exactly am I talking to?🤔

Anyway, I don’t think it’s commitment. Let’s just call it beige.

Or maybe sleeve island.

I get to the sleeves and suddenly feel the urgent need to cast on an entirely different project. Sleeves are, without question, my least favorite part of knitting.

My Moon Set Polo, finished back in March🤎
I’m officially in my second year of knitting, and looking at this piece reminds me of why I fell in love with the craft. It’s become my daily meditation—the best excuse to put down my phone, step away from the screens, and just create something with my hands.
In the last year and a half, the learning curve has been so beautiful. From exploring different fibers and yarn weights to learning the true meaning of patience and design, the list just goes on and on.
