This week, we’re super excited to shine the spotlight on Joseph Alessi, a renowned solo artist and the Principal Trombonist with the New York Philharmonic.

Next week, Joe’s hitting the stage with Christian Lindberg and Ian Bousfield for a hilarious and epic performance called "Three Mute Tenors" alongside the Prince of Denmark Brass and Percussion in Denmark. It’s bound to be a night where opera, theater, and commedia dell’arte blend into something really fun and memorable.

“I am very pleased to announce that I will be joining the Eastman Shires team. Why? Because I have fallen in love with a great trombone. After rigorous testing I have found an instrument that is easier to play and also fits the sound concept in my mind. That sound has been embodied in the Shires-Alessi signature horn. Thanks very much to everyone at Eastman Shires and I look forward to many years of collaboration!”
