🏳️‍⚧️ Let's Pride Month begins 🏳️‍🌈

As LGBTQIA+ rights are endangered in some parts of the world, it's more than essential to stand for those right!

Standing for q***r rights, it's also displaying q***r books in the bookshop windows. Visibility is important, showing the variety of stories that represent the variety of q***r people is also very important!

All year long you'll find LGBTQIA+ books (ask me for recs), and the bookshop will always be a safe place for you 💙💫

Jade is currently studying "Métiers du livre" at Clermont-Ferrand university. She enjoys baking and eating pastries, she also loves writing and her cat Lucifer !

I finished A beast slinks toward Beijing by a few days ago and I needed some times to recover from it before writing a review.

One day, Qianze gets a phone call, it's her dad who walked away when she was 14. While she reluctantly welcomes him to her place, she starts to learn fragments of her family history and see strange spirits.

It's a dark family saga spanning over different time periods, exploring China's history and Japanese colonialism but also how pain and trauma echoe through generations.

In a way, it made me think about Our Share of the Night by Mariana Enriquez : the magical elements, the family curse, the history of a country. If you liked Our Share of the Night you might be interested in A beast slinks toward Beijing!

PS: I'm still pi**ed it didn't make to the Women's Prize shortlist

Best book I've read so far this year 💕

A wonderful love stories between two young women spanning over decades between England and France.
Full of yearning and sensuality, it's a moving novel!

(You might end up heartbroken but it's worth it)

Perfect if you liked Sunburn or One Day!
