Muffin says a huge Thankyou to everyone who came into the shop today! Fantastic atmosphere, great chats with lots of customers and we sold lots of brocante, handmade items and craft supplies!

I've got 3 notebook covers and pen pockets to remake, I need to do a batch of glasses cases and phone cord holders and I was really thrilled to sell decoupaged hearts I finished yesterday including a snowman one :) I also sold some Christmas stock so it was well worth making the display this week :)

I sold some of the brocante I got this week which is always very nice, people are really liking what I buy!

Craft items were also very popular, I need to order more sewing clips and pins and I was kept busy cutting ribbons, trims and lace!

I'll be working on more teatowels, tote bags and notebook covers next week plus I'm nearly finished preparation for a new product which I can hopefully launch next week :)

Its a lovely day in Espéraza and La Vie Vintage is open :)
Had a customer knocking on the door at 9.15 to buy a gift so I might have to go back to opening at 9.00 🤣

I'm closing around 13.30 today as I'm going to an event this afternoon.

The collection of Christmas fabric tote bags is slowly growing :) I hope to have a few more finished for tomorrow!

Most of them I will have multiples of, a couple are one offs including the Christmas pudding fabric and the ivory fabric with grey birds. I have a few more designs which I am working on.

6€ each or 2 for 10€

I'll also be making some smaller tote bags for those smaller gifts plus some cute drawstring bags to fill with tiny gifts or chocolates, probably at the beginning of November.

EDIT one snowman heart already sold, I will make more next week!!

I've been busy painting and decoupaging wooden hearts this week including some new pretty Christmas designs :)

The Christmas hearts are embellished with metallic paint which is hard to photograph but they really glisten when you see them :)
Some hearts also have hand made clay mouldings on them.

Well, it feels very strange having a display of Christmas items in the shop in October but I've had customers asking when I'm putting them out and also there are alot of people who are here for the last time this year and wouldn't see the Christmas range before going home.

So far this stock is from last year but I'll have some new decoupaged hearts finished for Sunday and I'm slowly but surely finishing some Christmas tote bags and will be making other new items probably available in November.

Special 'Early Bird' offer, 20% off the Christmas gift baskets in stock, ends Sunday 1st November so be quick for a great saving on lovely gifts. Only includes gift baskets. I couldn't fit them all in the display so the 3 in the last gift basket photo are not out, please ask if interested.

I've been selling lots of my notebooks and pen pockets so I'm restocking the display this week, 5 finished and a few more to go before Sunday :)

The 'Octobre Rose' is one of my easiest window displays to create as I've got so much pink stuff 🤣
Really pleased how it's turned out :)

The annual Espéraza Octobre Rose event on rue Gambetta is on Sunday 25th, I'll be putting the poster outside the shop this week.

What do I do on my 'day off'? Well usually I sew all day but today I went to Carcassonne to pick up this cabinet for the shop! It's so pretty and the perfect colour! I will paint the inside and shelves white. Towards Christmas this will be filled with more gift baskets :)

Thankyou to my lovely husband for coming along to help get it in the car xx

Back to the sewing machine now to finish an order which is going to Australia on Saturday plus finish some more tote bags and start on some notebook covers!!
