AT Model SU30 - 2200 Cyrille build
The first step is to lightly sand the surface layer on each piece, and more easily on each plate, to remove the film (paraffin?) and allow for better adhesion.
If you sand back and forth, it moves the pieces and you end up tearing the corners.
So it's best to sand in only one direction, for example, pulling towards you, while holding the plate with your other hand. Looking at it with raking light, you can see the shiny or matte areas.
The grit I used is 240. It goes fairly quickly, but since there are 9 plates, and they need to be flipped, it already takes a little time, especially as some pieces tend to fall off. Next, you have to label each piece.
And remember to label the symmetrical pieces.
The plates are labeled 1.1 and 1.1 mirror (then 1.2, 1.2 mirror, etc.).
This allows you to find them on the paper diagrams.
Therefore, each piece must be numbered, for example, 1 and 1M (or another symbol for the symmetrical piece), 2, 2a, 2M, 2aM, etc.
