Jennie Moon bears and Restorations

Hello everybody,

For now, I won’t be taking on any new bear creations, bear restorations or vintage toy restoration work for customers.

Life on the farm has rather taken over, and we’re also pouring much of our spare time into restoring our beautiful old carriage .. something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time.

I’ll still be making and restoring my own private bears, and I’ll continue to share updates on the carriage restoration here.

As soon as I’m able to take on new work again, I’ll let you all know.

A little while ago, I was asked to create a very special bear. He appeared in the family film Peter Pan’s Hook and meant a great deal to his family.

With only a handful of photographs to work from, and the children watching the film over and over so I could catch glimpses of him, bringing him back to life was quite a challenge. But a magical request like that was impossible to turn down.

Life is rather busy these days between the farm, our rescue horses, our wonderful YouTube community and the restoration of our 1880 carriage, so he became my little project, tucked away in the bear room whenever I could find a spare hour.

After many months, plenty of patience and more cups of tea than I can count, he is finally finished and safely home with his new mum.

As a little surprise, I tucked a small bag of antique coins inside his tummy, waiting to be discovered one day. Hopefully they’ll bring a little luck along with them.

He was a joy to make and gave me some much-needed time to switch off, create, and get lost in the process. He’s certainly one of those bears I’ll never forget. ✨

Dear Yogi arrived feeling a little sorry for himself, but what a treasure he turned out to be! Hidden inside his tummy were some fascinating surprises — including spotty fabric, pairs of tights, and even a little drawing on one of his joints that looks like a child’s stick figure throwing an arrow. He was such a joy to work on, and now he’s safely back home in the UK with his mum. ❤️🧸

My mum flew out to visit us and take home this adorable little cat belonging to a friend of hers. It was wonderful spending time with her in my restoration room, caring for this little one and ensuring it has a few more happy years ahead.
