A Soviet RSBN navigation antenna from a MiG-21, stamped АП(3)-08М with serial number 75503. RSBN was the Soviet short-range radio navigation and landing system, the Eastern Bloc counterpart of the Western TACAN. On the MiG-21bis, its small antennas sat under the nose intake and on top of the tail fin.

Painted metal body, 36 cm long, ending in a knurled-nut electrical connector that still carries its lockwire, twisted on by ground crews to stop the nut loosening under vibration.

A piece of Cold War aviation hardware, ready for a desk or a Soviet aviation collection.

A repoussé copper bas-relief of Marx, Engels and Lenin, made in the 1980s for a Komsomol camp.

The ВЛКСМ, the Communist Party’s youth organisation, ran summer camps across the USSR from 1918 until its dissolution in 1991, and this triple portrait, the founders of scientific socialism beside the leader of the October Revolution, hung in their assembly halls and political education rooms.

Large copper sheet worked by hand and cut out along the outline of the three heads, the hair, beards and irises picked out with a punch. The reverse shows the hollow forms of the repoussé work.

Very good condition.

The state emblem of the USSR, combined at its base with the crossed hammer and wrench of the Soviet railways.
Plaques like this one were mounted on the front of locomotives, carrying the emblem of the Union across thousands of kilometres of track.
On the central ribbon, the motto « Proletarians of all countries, unite! » in Russian.

Cast aluminum relief, 35 x 30 cm, with deep sculpted detail on the ears of wheat, the meridians of the globe and the ribbons.

Matte grey patina, light wear consistent with a working life on the rails, a solid and striking wall piece.

A souvenir of the first Frenchman in space. On 24 June 1982, Jean-Loup Chrétien lifted off from Baikonur aboard Soyuz T-6 with Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Aleksandr Ivanchenkov, docked with Salyut 7 and spent almost eight days in orbit. It was the first Soviet-French crewed flight, under the Intercosmos programme.

This white porcelain plate was painted entirely by hand to mark the event: a red star with gilt hammer and sickle over a blue globe, a blue, white and red band in the colours of France, and a space shuttle rising at the top. Bilingual gilt lettering, INTERCOSMOS and ИНТЕРКОСМОС, dated 1982. About 23 cm across.

Workshop work, in the spirit of the East German Interkosmos plate of 1978, here in French colours. We have found no other example anywhere, so this is very likely a one-off piece. Very good condition, signed on the back with a gold brushed monogram: HDC.

Do you know who HDC was? Tell us in the comments 🚀

On 9 May 1985, the 40th anniversary of Victory Day, colleagues at the Baikonur Cosmodrome gave one of their own a photograph of the Energia heavy launcher standing on its test stand.
Energia did not fly until 15 May 1987 and the programme was still secret, so this is most likely a ground test vehicle, photographed two years before the first launch.
A second photograph followed on 25 November 1987, “from friends”: a crewed Soyuz on the pad, seen from above with the service towers open.

Both are inscribed to the same man. The Soyuz is a black and white print under glass in a metal frame, 48 x 36 cm, reused from a Leningrad linocut whose label is still on the back. The Energia is a loose colour print.

The colour print shows heavy wear: colours shifted to red, creases, damaged edges. The framed print has a water stain along the lower margin.

Had you ever seen Energia photographed before its first flight? 🚀

A Soviet desk telephone from the TAN series (ТАН, “desk telephone set”), dated 1959 under the base. With its rotary dial it is in all likelihood a TAN-5, the version built for automatic exchanges, while the TAN-6 shared the same body but had a blanking plate instead of a dial for manual exchanges.
The five-pointed star crossed by a handset, moulded into the case, is the logo used at the time by the Perm telephone factory in the Urals.

The case is made of carbolite, the Soviet Bakelite. The centre of the dial carries a medallion with the USSR coat of arms, and a plate on the front reads “Attention! Conducting secret conversations is forbidden”, a reminder to office staff that ordinary lines were not protected against eavesdropping.
Base 18.5 x 14.5 cm, height 14 cm.

The phone has been rewired with a modern modular plug, tested and fully working, so it can be connected and used today. It comes with a box and reprinted documentation.

Raketa, Russian for « rocket », is the name the Petrodvorets watch factory in Peterhof gave its watches in 1961, the year of Yuri Gagarin’s flight. The factory itself goes back to the lapidary works founded by Peter the Great in 1721.

A red dial with a large yellow star carrying the hammer and sickle, the СССР inscription and the pentagon-shaped Soviet quality mark, the знак качества introduced in 1967 for goods of the highest quality category. Mechanical movement, 36 mm chrome-plated case, number 895 engraved on the back, black leather strap.

Tested, working perfectly. 6-month guarantee.

The Baikonour Cosmodrome was born in the Kazakh steppe on 2 June 1955, and it remains the birthplace of the entire Space Age. It was from these launch pads that Sputnik lifted off in 1957, and from here that Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space in 1961. This mechanical Pobeda (Победа, “Victory”) carries a commemorative dial made for the cosmodrome’s 45th anniversary, produced around the year 2000.

The dial is a striking blue gradient, showing a rocket on its launch pad, a globe, and the inscription 45 ЛЕТ БАЙКОНУР (“45 Years Baikonour”) in gold and white lettering.
The case measures 38 mm across with a blackened finish (black chrome), fitted on a black leather strap. Serial number 107785 is engraved on the case back.

Serviced by our master watchmaker on 14 June 2026: the movement overhauled, the crystal polished, the hands and dial cleaned. It runs beautifully and comes with a 6-month warranty.

A miniature of Vera Mukhina’s Worker and Kolkhoz Woman, the 24.5-metre stainless steel group that crowned Boris Iofan’s Soviet pavilion at the 1937 Paris World’s Fair, directly facing the German pavilion across the Trocadéro.
After the fair it was shipped back to Moscow and installed at the entrance of VDNKh, became the Mosfilm emblem in 1947, and returned to its pedestal on 4 December 2009 after a six-year restoration.

Cast iron with a dark brown patina, the worker in overalls raising his hammer, the kolkhoz woman lifting her sickle, her scarf caught mid-flight.
The base carries the square monogram cartouche of the Monumentskulptura art foundry in Leningrad, which also produced small-scale reductions of Soviet monuments.

Mounted on a green serpentine plinth, 23.5 cm total height, likely cast in the 1960s.

Very good condition, even patina, no losses.

A hand-engraved silver brooch from the very first years of Soviet power, marked “Р.С.Ф.С.Р.” with the dotted abbreviation used on the official seals of 1918.
The crossed hammer and sickle only became the state emblem in the spring of 1918, and until the winter of 1919 Red Army insignia were not regulated at all: commanders had their own badges made by local craftsmen.

According to the history passed on by the seller, this one belonged to an RKKA commander, and the style of the engraved scrolls and trefoil openwork points to a Caucasian silversmith rather than a Moscow workshop.

Pierced silver, no hallmark as is usual for hand-made pieces of that period, entirely hand-engraved with a five-pointed star, hammer and sickle and foliage scrolls, set with a large faceted red glass stone in a serrated open-back bezel, about 5 x 5 cm. Simple C-clasp pin at the back.

Natural patina, light surface scratches, one of a kind. Very good condition for a piece of more than a century.
