Last weekend I visited The Met’s “Gothic by Design” exhibition.

Standing in front of centuries-old architectural drawings, I couldn’t help thinking about how little the creative process has changed.

Before there were soaring cathedrals…

there were sketches.

Before there was carved stone…

there were revisions.

Before there was architecture…

there was an idea.

It reminded me why I started designing in the first place.

Eight years?! 🥹❤️

Some days it feels like I was just sitting in a little coffee shop sketching ideas in a notebook, and somehow those sketches turned into bags that have traveled the world and found homes with so many amazing people.

Over the last 8 years I’ve learned, experimented, celebrated the wins, survived the setbacks, laughed a lot, cried a little (okay… maybe more than a little), and poured so much love into every step of this journey.

Looking back at these memories reminds me how far The D’Ari Collection has come and how many stories are still waiting to be told.

Thank you for following along, cheering me on, and carrying a little piece of this dream with you. Here’s to the next chapter and many more years of creating beautiful things together. 🫶🏼✨

History directs us towards a very different, far more calming and far more useful notion: that, contrary to what we are being pestered into believing, most of what happens in the present is, in fact, only a repetition of something very similar that once happened in the past 🥀
