7 acre lake situated in Noramandy, set in 60 acres of farm and woodland. Our lake is well stocked with huge carp to over 70 lbs. We have all the facilities including a brand new shower block.

Darren with a 53lb mirror, one of 8 fish he's caught so far. This one came as a double up along with a 35lb common.

The lakes fishing well, with plenty of fish caught even through some of the terrible, dry conditions we've been having.

The lake is about 2 feet down, but we haven't suffered with any poor water quality and the fish have fed through it. We've had a good bit of rain this week and the water is starting to flow.

I'll get all of the photos posted of some of the catches we've been having over the summer.

It's been an eventful month of fishing. After our first big spawning of the season our regular crew had some perfectly timed cooler weather and plenty of rain. Good conditions to get back into the action after the tricky fishing the previous week.

The lads know the lake well and caught a good number of fish to over 52lb. Weights down a little but still several others over 40lb caught to 49lb. Matt adding another 50 to his list of catches, like buses they are.

40 runs resulting in 35 landed, not hectic stuff but good steady fishing for the lads and a good feed up for the fish after the rituals.

Following that we had a new group of lads on the lake. With a bigger group it can be a little slower at times but the lads all fished really well and as a result all landed a good few fish. Top rod for the week catching 17 fish from the left side of the island swim. But the oaks and the social swim did produce a good number of fish.

A good result had for the group with everyone catching a few and a couple of 50's in there too.

Around 56 fish where caught between them.

Following that we had our regular crew over last week. And as always they did a good job of winkling a few out with some cracking fish and fifties all round to 54lb. Highlight was Oscar catching his new pb the 'snub nosed common' at 51lb. This fish hasn't been out for a few seasons, so even more special. Well done young man. Our man in the island had a bit of a struggle getting into them, but had had a few up to Friday night. But we always say persistence pays off and on his last night had his reward with a new pb common over the 50lb mark. It was actually the snub nosed again. So she made two anglers week. We probably won't see her again for a couple of years. Altogether the lads caught 33 fish.

Then at the beginning of this week the weather got ridiculously hot, far from ideal fishing conditions and another batch of fish decided to spawn. So it's been another tough week. But a few fish have been caught and we're hoping for a flurry on the last night 🤞

We've had some great captures over the last 3 weeks with a good number of big fish caught. Last week was a little slower. Perhaps because of the cooler temperatures after some ridiculously hot days the week previous. They did show some signs of spawning after two days of weather into the mid twenites.

So i'm sure the fish were a little unsettled when the temperatures did drop.

Charlie fishing in the bamboo 3 weeks ago had a bit of a red letter week, getting off to a flier and never really slowing down. His fish included a 53 and a 64lb as well as other fish to over 40lb. He had over twenty runs but unfortunately lost a number of fish. A great result though.

There were another couple of fifties caught by the other anglers including one at just under 59lb.

A good week overall. Although the oaks had been tough on one of the anglers. The swim has got off to an unusually slow start this season. But it did do the big one the previous week.

The lads the following week had a good week too with a good number of big fish caught. Slower in the middle areas of the lake but the margins at the deeper end and the island swim produced well.

Fish caught this week included a 64, 58, 57, 51. 49, 48 and another good number of fish to over 40lb. Around 45 runs with 40 landed.

Last week was a lot slower with a good start but a little bit of a moody end. But the best part was that our man Darren finally caught his fifty at 54lb. And we are very pleased for him, now time for a sixty.

It was a bit of a slow burner but they all managed some nice fish with another 4 fish over 40lb to 49lb.

We've had a good start this week. With two fish of 48lb and another at 58 lb 12oz. Plus several others to 42lb. Most of the fish coming from the deeper end of the lake, particularly form the dam wall margin.

That's another fish pushing the sixty pound mark, and we are seeing some excellent growth rates from a number of fish.

With the warmer weather, the lads in the other swims should get in on the action very soon.
