OTM Exclusive 💍 After exchanging vows in St. Louis, Merrill Hermann and chrisbaillieu quite literally ran into their reception. “We went running around the tent, weaving through our friends and family, my shoes only half on my feet and threatening to fly off and hit someone in the face at any moment,” Merrill remembers. “We were completely dumbfounded by the feeling in the air.”

OTM Exclusive (on Film) 💍🎞️ After saying “I do” in St. Louis, OTM Bride Merrill Hermann traded her Oscar de la Renta ceremony dress for a sparkly CUCCULELLI SHAHEEN look and vintage choker—and headed straight for the after-party.

“One of our guests overheard two women in the bathroom saying, ‘Apparently these Aussie men like to take their shirts off at the after-party—we can’t wait!’” Merrill laughs. “She emerged expecting to find two 30-somethings, only to discover two of my mom’s friends giggling like schoolgirls.” And their intel was good. “Happy to report, the Aussies delivered.” 🇦🇺

OTM Exclusive 💍 While they started as “just friends,” that’s not how the Midwestern Merrill Hermann and Australian chrisbaillieu stayed. Fast-forward five years later to a proposal involving a fake echidna 🦔, a wedding at Merrill’s great-grandparents’ former home in St. Louis where the bride wore an Oscar de la Renta dress, and a feature as our September digital cover.

With Augusta Cole at the helm, the weekend was colorful, deeply personal, and delightfully un-wedding-y, which is exactly how Merrill wanted it.
