I’ve been working on something very close to my heart.

What started as my little 10-Minute Art idea has now become whimsical posters, greeting cards, bookmarks & more — all designed and created by me. 🎨🌈

In fairness we haven’t ultimately decided exactly what we will do from our new city base, sure we’ll fix bikes, sell refurbished bikes, and partner up with other local organisations, groups, and projects; but beyond that? Let’s see what happens 🤷🏻‍♂️

We promote active and sustainable travel, and do a whole bunch of cycling and bike focused things.

"I think people our age will really benefit from having somewhere we can go to easily access proper support."

Eilidh from our Young People's Panel shares how important The Nook is for young people, and recently visited our new hub in Aberdeen.

"It can be really hard to seek help if you're struggling, and when you do you might face barriers like waiting lists and confusing systems.

"With The Nook, you can walk in when you feel ready and someone will be there to help you there and then.

"It also provides help to people supporting a loved one with poor mental health, which I think will be so important for people across the North East.”

The Nook is open for any young person aged 10+, providing immediate mental health support and a safe place to chat 🧡

Join us to celebrate all things Scottish Fantasy with authors Justin Lee Anderson, Shona Kinsella and Chiara Bullen at Waterstones Aberdeen! 

On Wednesday 9th September at 5.30pm, the authors will join us in store to discuss their most recent books and Scottish Fantasy as a whole with our bookseller Kenneth. If you love fantasy, this is the perfect event to celebrate the genre with like-minded individuals and to support some local authors!

The conversation will be followed by an author Q&A and a chance to get your book (or books!) signed. Tickets are £5 and available on our website.
