The biggest feature on any lake, and without doubt the go too area for most carp where angling pressure has not pushed them out!
Factor in the added ability to be able to see the spots in close, and spot signs of fish far more easily, they present a far better return on looking time that some open water areas.

In summer carp will be pushed into the holding areas, enjoying the warmth of the summer sun, and any structure such as pads, or overhanging trees will provide additional cover to escape the heat should they wish, but also safety and above all food. This means if you are targeting fish in these areas your kit needs to be up to the job.

Strong fluorocarbon such as Korda Kontour is brilliant for this, as it sinks like a brick so you can slack line over those more open areas, but its low refractive index makes it almost invisible in water should you need to fish tighter to snags. That coupled with high abrasion resistance, and low stretch means you can get rigs in perfectly and extract them from their marginal home!

Here is a very nice little used boxed Grice & Young LTD Avon Royal Supreme lll deep drum model. As you can see this reel is in very good condition, with only minor paint wear. The reel is in superb working order, spins extremely well and quietly. The original box is also in good condition and complete.All in all a great quality classic reel to use or add to your collection, priced at $100 plus postage happy to arrange overseas posting also.
