Each one is

unique and takes great pride in its choice of suppliers with many home baking in their own kitchens. Foodies are further catered for by Delishfish, a fishmonger who brings his stock directly from Peterhead every day. Restaurants range from curry houses to Scottish contemporary cuisine - again many are family run. For the connoisseur we have a specialist whisky shop stocking not just whisky and a great range of gin too. There are art galleries and antique dealers - plenty of scope to spend time and browse. Homeware, handbags, jewellery, gifts, stationery, floristry.....we've got it all. For those of us who wish to look our best the area has a number of hair salons and beauty clinics. Professional services include opticians, dentists, orthodontists, doctors and a hearing aid specialist as well as a garage, funeral director, letting agents, solicitors and insurance brokers.

Parking in the West End is now managed through the PayByPhone app. Set up your details beforehand for a smooth visit — and don’t worry, most machines still accept coins!

🚌 Prefer the bus?
Take your local bus route into the city centre and use routes 13, 15 from Guild Street and the 201 & 202 from Union Square to drop you right at the top of Union Street.

🚕 Need a lift home?
The Chapel Street taxi rank runs until midnight daily.
