We collect and curate all that inspires us…
Hold regular exhibitions of Fine and Applied Arts. Nourish and delight the artist and creative child with inspirational books and independent magazines. Serve simple, delicious food from our kitchen and of course good coffee. Have a garden where the sun can shine all day, designed a

nd planted by Sarah Price. Host workshops with painters, print-makers, textile artists, writers and musicians. Organise life drawing days for artists to do their practice - with no tutor but the occasional masterclass.

Continuing our summer theme, find a fresh selection of artworks and ceramics celebrating garden flora and foliage, landscapes and birds including a NEW series of oil paintings by Cornelia O’Donovan ma rca.
And showcasing new ceramic maker, Nicola Gillis.

The staff here at The Art Shop and at the Chapel are so saddened to tell you that Katherine, our dedicated co-worker and dear friend, has passed away.

After more than 17 years of working here, Katherine offered support, invaluable advice and creative inspiration to so many people over the years.

She will be greatly missed by us all….

At the Chapel we love using our creativity to come up with new dishes and bakes! Something for any dietary need and always using the best seasonal and local produce.

Our cakes are freshly baked in-house daily, served all day and best enjoyed with a hot or iced coffee ☕️

Beautiful new collection from Karen Williams at Adrift Pottery just arrived to the Chapel 🐦‍⬛🌿

A modern take on traditional slipware, inspired by nature.

Each piece is individually made, usually hand built with slabs or formed by pinching the soft clay. Creamy slip (liquid clay) is hand brushed or poured on and through a technique called sgraffito these characterful birds and gorgeous natural forms emerge.

Made in Karen’s little shed on the stunning wild coast of Pembrokeshire 🌊

Open 10-4, Tuesday-Saturday.

Just landed at The Art Shop!

Sketchbooks, notebooks and paper things to create and organise with from pith

Printed, bound and hand finished by Pith in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Using the finest materials each book is designed, manufactured, and packaged with minimal environmental impact. We’re delighted with their vibrant colourways, especially the Chartreuse, Lavender and Blue and the more earthy shades like the Raw.

Great to have lined and grid notebooks in the shop which we know a lot of you have been asking for.

Recycled board / certified sustainable paper / portion of profits to planting & rewilding 🌳 What’s not to love?!
