Just a quick heads-up, the entrance road off the main road is currently closed for repairs, however local access is still permitted, so you can still get through to the fishery. 👍

*EDIT - depending what side of the road they are working on you may have to divert into Rothes and back out the speyburn road

We’re open as normal, so don’t let the road closure put you off! 🎣

😂 FISHING HACK 101 🎣

No midge net at hand? No problem! Simply put on a pair of tights and keep those pesky midgees away! 🦟👌

Think Davie might have got the wrong idea though… but to be fair, the midgees are keeping their distance! 😂👠🎣

🛝 More additions to the play park! 🌳

We’ve been adding a few more bits to the play park, with the latest addition being our new in-ground trampoline! 🤸‍♂️

⚠️ Just a wee note, there are still some small gaps around the edges while we finish it off, so please take a little extra care for now.

Remember, you don’t have to be fishing to come and enjoy the fishery! Kids are more than welcome to come along and use the play park for free. 🙌

Grab a tea, coffee or hot chocolate and some of Nicole’s fancy cakes from the hut ☕🍰, let the kids have a play and enjoy the surroundings.

No fishing required, just come along, relax and enjoy our beautiful wee fishery. 🎣🌲❤️

🎣 First Trout! 🎣

Well done to Findlay and Kieron on catching their first trout yesterday! 👏🐟

It was Findlay’s first ever trout, so of course he had to get bled and give it a wee kiss for good luck 😂😘🐟

The lads took their catches home and got them straight on the BBQ 🔥👌

Brilliant to see, well done lads, hopefully the first of many! 🎣👏

Fish No. 10 so far for Craig today, on a mojito eggstacy worm. Weighed at 11.5lb and a white tag, well done 👏🏼

🎣 Saturday Update 🎣

A few fish coming out today! It’s been slower for some, but most anglers have managed to get something to the net so far. 👍

There have been some cracking fish showing over the last couple of days too. Craig Walton had a lovely couple of rainbows yesterday, while Bob landed a cracking brownie. Jimmy has just joined the brownie club today with an absolute belter! 🐟

Donnie also hooked into one of the BIG brownies, estimated at 16lb+, but unfortunately it never made the net… so we’ll have to take his word for that one. 👀😂

Alec has just landed a cracking rainbow estimated around 8–9lb too.

Gus headed away early today with 5 fish. Jimmy had nothing at all this morning, came up for a pie and a coffee, went back down and has now had 5 in the last hour! Meanwhile others fishing the same flies are still waiting for a take. Just shows how funny fishing can be! 😂

Unfortunately we did find one dead fish this morning, but what an absolute beast it was.

Flies doing the damage today: buzzers and eggs seem to be the main choices, along with those wee black Diawl Bach looking things. 🎣

Plenty of good fish still moving around, you just need to figure out what mood they’re in! 👀🐟
