☀️It’s looking like a warm one this Saturday at Pontypool Party in the Park, so here’s your friendly “don’t spontaneously combust” reminder from me to our traders and the public ☀️

Bring whatever keeps you comfy in the sunshine — a bit of sun cream, your favourite light outfit, plenty of water, and a hat if you fancy giving off “responsible adult” vibes. There’s loads of shade dotted around the park too, perfect for a quick cool‑down, a snack break, or a dramatic “I’m melting, leave me here” moment.

If you start feeling a bit off in the heat — dizzy, headachey, sick, or suddenly wiped out — it’s usually just your body saying “sit down and drink something immediately”. Grab some shade, sip some water, and take a breather.
St John’s Ambulance and Comet Security are on site all day if anyone needs a hand. You’re in good hands with the health and safety team at Pontypool Community Council and there will be a slight breeze around as well!

Mostly though… come along, enjoy the sunshine, have a lush day out, and let’s make it a good one.
